New customer SKY deal
If anyone has left the sky fold and wants to return, this is a cracking deal.

Go to vouchecodes.co.uk

type in SKY

a deal comes up - the complete bundle including Sports, Movies, and full HD - £30 a month or £35 for multiroom. 12 month contract. £10 set up fee.

However when I called them, they put it in the system and the multiroom package came up at £30.75 a month - with a 2 TB as the main box and a recordable HD box for second room. This also includes SKY GO extra.

Don't know if the guy on the phone made an error or the system was an error but I've never seen it that cheap.

Might be of benefit to someone.

Neco don't blame you, only reason I got h2h is Virgin has the HD on most channels or I'd have stuck with sky feed. Handy if one line goes down it switches to other.
Il let you know how gigablue goes.

That's easy Marston

The sky product is very good I've had it for 13 years! And HD since it came out.

They are lagging behind with the 4K stuff though, although this new Q box looks after that, all they need to do is start transmitting in it!

Agree it's the way to go.

Zgemma box, flash an already set up image c/o Techkings, yearly sub and away you go.

My cloud ibox is still going strong though on a faultless £12 a year sub.

I have no idea how Sky have managed all these years without you directing them on their business affairs Devo.

PAGEY You don't have to have the business sense of a lump of dog shit to think it's a good idea to insentivise existing customers before they even think of playing the I'm leaving card!

In fact it's very archaic business sense to continue to think that existing customers will not seek alternative sources of in home entertainment.

There's plenty SKY could do for existing customers to make them feel valued and to pre empt them from considering jumping ship.

Re: New customer SKY deal
What the hell are you banging on about?! Of course they do, because they're threatening to leave! They don't do it all the time, but at times they no doubt have to.

As if they would just randomly call up existing customers and say "Hi, you seem fine and you don't call us to complain about the price of your subscription but we'd like to halve your bill because we have the business sene of a lump of dog shit."

Most people who call to cancel are just chancers and they actually shit themselves after cancelling and getting no deal. The android box does seem to be a great way of getting all the tv people want and fair play but I personally think that Sky charge a fair price for what you get. I'm not sure how my own opinion can be wrong?

I quite like putting a channel on my telly and getting to see what I want rather than relying on the internet speed, buffering or having to search for a particular channel.

Re: New customer SKY deal
PAGEY. You've answered your own question!

They offer cheaper deals to existing customers because they threaten to leave!

Existing customers have to be on the ball and play the 'I'm leaving' card every once in a while.

Combo of reduced sky fees and Amazon fire stick covers all the bases!

Oh have had them phone up plenty of times offering me GREAT deals on SKY Sports & Movies... normally humour them for 5 mins of so giving their sales pitch and then say naaaaah I got an android box and then put the phone down.... I know loads that are jumping ship

Re: New customer SKY deal
Used to barter with SKY for years... would get 30% and 25% off my deals every 6 months or so... last time they did not call my bluff and I ended up cancelling SKY Sports and Movies... cold turkey for a few days then went the route of an Android box and have not look back... still got the basic sky entertainment pack (Discovery History etc) pay £35 a month and I'm happy with that... anything sport and movie wise I get through the Android Box... in fact in the 2 years I can only think of one thing I could not get hold of (Rugby England v France friendly) so I popped up the boozer... saves me about £600-00 a year

Re: New customer SKY deal
Sky is worth every penny i reckon. Need to hold out to get the deals though. Just quit. They will call during the notice period and the offers get better. I held out until a week to go, then they offered 50% off everything.

Saying that, slh did that and they never went back to him!

Re: New customer SKY deal
Have a read up on zgemma boxes,
You Can get sky or Virgin boxes with a yearly payment of about 50quid.also boxes like the h2h which as long as you have Virgin fibre and a sky dish you can run both feeds via same box.

Locked into sky for another few months. We seem to be on BT all the time now and the fact they don't have champions league anymore they must be worried that most people who only get sky for football will fck off when their contracts up

They should create a tip bitton, where you can give them further funds out of your pleasure for their services. You seem a keen enough a market.

Re: New customer SKY deal
In my opinion, £70 for every single channel per month is more than fair. Plus loads of people are on much better deals than that too.

Even if you just add up the amount of live sport per month across the board that's still a bargain. That's without the films and the box sets on demand.

Most people don't think twice about spunking £70 on drink on one average night out yet freak out when asked to pay the same for a month's worth of premium television? It doesn't make sense.

Or much like the latest campaign for cheaper away tickets in football, people actually are prepared to fight for a fair price, rather than be fucked over.

Like Sky will go bust by charging less. Poor old Sky, struggling with their income.

Pagey 2:28 Wed Mar 23
Re: New customer SKY deal
Loads of existing customers get offered a deal when they call in to cancel or enquire. They're not going to just offer everyone a deal, are they? They'd go bust in no time.

Too many people want something for nothing these days.
